There are a two types of locks that can be installed in a vehicle, one is the basic lock and key; where the driver is required to unlock the vehicle using a key, and then unlock the remaining doors manually. Another system is the automatic electric system, in this system the car is connected using electronic triggers; and the vehicle can be locked and unlocked with a simple click of the button. Whereas, along with the automatic remote system, the key system can be used too; but vehicles that are not electronic in nature; will not be able to support a remote system. Another added feature of the automatic system is that, it comes with an alarm system. So when someone tries to access the vehicle without a key, the alarm will go off notifying the owner that something is wrong. This is an added layer of security over the lock system itself.
